This is a journey from 2010 to 2020, before the world hit the brakes. A glimpse of some places and people that I've been lucky to film up to now and that I hope to see again very soon.
Founded by chef José Andrés in 2010, the NGO World Central Kitchen assists in more than 17 countries in emergency situations following the same goal: to change the world through the power of food. #ChefsForSpain was born as a response to the COVID-19 crisis in Spain, one of the most affected countries by the pandemic. In Barcelona, chef Carles Tejedor leads a team of more than 100 volunteers who, together with Cruz Roja and Banc dels Aliments, has already distributed more than 200,000 menus to those who need them the most.

In July 2019, a forest fire reached the Iruelas Valley Natural Reserve in Ávila (Spain). The fire destroyed more than 180 hectares of forest, destroying most of its vegetation and seriously compromising the biodiversity of the area. "The Truth about Trees" is a podcast series that gives voice to several native pines that suffered the effects of the flames and remembers their life through dendrochronology, a botanical science that studies the growth of their rings and how the climate change has influenced their development. This project, launched by Bosques Sostenibles in collaboration with the Sustainable Forest Management Research Institute of Valladolid (iuFOR) and the writer Nagore Suárez, will carry out a reforestation plan for 280,000 trees on the affected area, fostering the protection of forests as one of the most effective assets in the fight against climate change.
Every year Oxfam Intermón and a group of contributors travel to a beneficiary country to discover first-hand how their commitment changes lives. "A Look at Honduras" is a series of 6 episodes that follows their journey to the Central American country and tells the stories of the people they met there.
Shaila Nde is a 12 year old girl from Sant Boi de Llobregat who dreams about one thing: to be a professional basketball player one day. Thanks to her family and Gasol Foundation, she's working hard to enforce healthy habits that let her enjoy a wholesome lifestyle and bring her closer to her goals.
What seemed like a knee pain ended up completely shaking the life and goals of Gerard Bofill, who gave up a professional soccer career and a comfortable environment to live in the mountains. There he built Can Buch, a self-sufficient rural house where he dedicates himself to his true passion: nature and animals. Open for Business is a documentary series created by Holded that brings us stories of entrepreneurship in times of uncertainty.
A group of Oxfam Intermón contributors travels to Nepal to meet those people who, along with their commitment, work everyday to change their life and that of their families. This was an 11 day trip that drove us through different Nepali regions as Kathmandu, Nepalgunj and Makwanpur, where the travelers experienced the culture, life and dreams of many friends they met along the way.

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2019, Damm brought together 4 retired employees who chatted about the work back then and how they experienced the incorporation of women in the company. However, they did not know that they were being listened to by someone very close: the women who occupy their former positions today. Damm currently has an equality plan that guarantees equal job access and has achieved encouraging numbers, since in the last two years women have risen to 45% of the incorporations.
